API Architecture

The Open Data Protection API has the following architecture:
  1. Requests are send and received via stateless HTTP/HTTPS requests.
  2. Requests and results are encoded in JSON.
  3. Authentication is via the HTTP Authentication model. Authentication tokens are not used and are not shared between calls.
  4. Result and status codes of zero (0) represent success, values above zero represent some sort of problem.
